For the love of God, why can't they just get along?
Today was a work from home day, so I had Princess K in the morning at home with me and in the afternoon I had both kids. From the moment Super Michael got home, it was no holds barred smack down in the Super Mega Household. Princess K "stole" a toy from Super Michael and ran around the house to try to maintain possession of the prize, while Super Michael ran after her yelling "Sissy stole Bolt from me" at the top of his lungs.
Then Super Michael was playing with a toy prized by Princess K, so she decided she needed to smack him with something big and hard, which caused instant crying from both parties. From Super Michael, because it HURT, and from Princess K because the loud noise scared her.
Then, after 5 pm, it's time to clean up the day's destruction before Super Mommy gets home. Because if Super Mommy KNEW how much of a mess these two are TRULY capable of, she might consider trading us in for a less messy family. It's AT LEAST a good hour of fighting over who made the mess, absolute refusal to clean up said mess, several threats of throwing away all the toys because no one wants to put them way, then a grudging "OK, FINE" followed by trying to throw all the toys into hidden piles while Super Mega Dad isn't looking and making dinner.
Well, Super Mega Dad didn't just fall off the programmer truck yesterday...he's been around the block several times and been scammed by people that get paid WAY more then these two tricksters. I KNOW all the hidden areas around the house, hell, I hide MY stuff there. So, in the last five minutes before Super Mommy comes home, all the toys get thrown back into the center of the room, the trash can comes out to show that Super Mega Dad does INDEED mean business and toys are frantically put away in the general area they belong before they are lost forever.
The last toy is generally put away right as Super Mommy walks through the door, everybody breathes a sigh of relief, Super Mommy looks around the room and proclaims "It looks like a hurricane hit this place!". Arghhhh!
