Today was our 1st Grade Seaworld trip! Talk about excitement. The kids were acting like they just had a dozen donuts each and the noise level was just incredible, but it was WELL worth selling all those candles to our friends and families. I'm completely sore from having Super Michael's teacher slave drive us around Seaworld (just kidding Mrs. H!) and my voice is completely gone. I started to croak out a bedtime story tonight, but had to give up halfway through because I just couldn't talk anymore.
All in all, we both had a blast. All the little kiddies had great fun and half of them fell asleep in the bus, which is always a good sign of a good field trip. I wanted to thank Super Michael's teacher, Mrs. H. for letting me go as a chaperon and I was really very impressed with how well all of the kids listened and respected her. You can really tell when kids love their teacher and I can see it with her. I'm used to going on field trips and having the kids just being completely wild, but the kids stayed fairly close with the group and always listened to the parent chaperones and especially to their teacher.
What really surprised me, however, is that usually on field trips, Super Michael usually stay right next to me the entire time and doesn't want to venture very far from me. But, on this trip, he wanted to be right next to his teacher at all times and just pal around with her. He was much more willing to go and explore and have fun with his friends.
I think we're all going to miss Mrs. H. next year in second grade. Maybe we can get her moved over to the second grade! ;)
So, anyway, I'm being really lazy tonight and posting some pictures from the trip below. I'm just super exhausted from the trip and trying to get our three year old Princess K to actually go to bed, so it's now bedtime for Super Mega Dad. Good night everybody!

Watching the Dolphin Show...and eating lunch!

That is one BIG Polar Bear!

Shamu Showing his stuff.

Super Michael trying to judge if he can reach that one last starfish.
