I am jealous of my son.
One of the coolest things about my work place, when I'm not working from home, is the fact that we have a play room for the company kids. Super Michael is usually the one that takes advantage of it however, so it's slowly become his "office". He has a pretty cool office, possibly even cooler then my Star Wars themed office. His office has all the toys in it. Hell, he even has his own laptop! I even took over a TV and a Nintendo 64 for him to learn his old man's favorite sport of sitting down and staring at a TV screen while you twitch your fingers around. Hey, he needs some way to improve his small moter controls, and what better way then a Nintendo controller?
ANYWAY, sometimes he gets lonely, so he goes and visits with some of my co-workers. The past few days, him and I have been the only dudes in the office, so he gets to flirt a lot while we are there. Yesterday he went downstairs and sat at a co-workers desk and chatted her up for the longest time while she worked. Heck, he's a smooth operator.
We have a few people in the office that share offices with others, so today Super Michael came in to my office and asked me when someone was going to move into his office. I asked him who he wished to move in with him and he had to think for a bit and finally decided on yet another female co-worker that he wanted to move in with him. So, he had to march himself over to HER office and let her know that she was his new office mate. Such a privledge!
So, my son is a playa. I knew he was before, because anytime we go through a drive through and there's a cute woman there, he has to roll down his window a give a big ol "How ya doing?". A dude at the window? Not even a nod from him!
Damn, I always think, I'm 37 and I don't think I could talk to women NOW like he does at 6. That boy has some SKILLZ. I'm not sure if I should be proud or worried.
On one hand, I'm glad that he's socially capable and hopefully won't be as socially crazy as I was. On the other hand, there's that part of me that says, "Oh, man, we are in for some trouble with that boy."
Princess K, on the other hand, just flashes her big 'ol blue eyes at people and gives them that shy little smile of hers and people just melt. I think we'll be in trouble with that one as well.
Excuse me while I go and polish my shotgun.
